About

Background

My work sits across technical and commercialization roles. The common thread is translating technical complexity into clearer systems, decisions, agreements, models, and products.

This perspective comes from a mix of contexts: technology transfer and venture diligence at FedTech, building In Silico Biolabs, regulatory science at the FDA Office of Clinical Pharmacology, IP and licensing at Sandia National Laboratories, and doctoral research in nanoscience at the University of New Mexico.

Engineering systems and technical reasoning

My technical background is not limited to one narrow engineering function. A common thread across my work has been reasoning through systems: how assumptions shape models, how processes create constraints, how technical evidence supports decisions, and how technologies move from concept toward implementation. I'm especially interested in engineering fundamentals that apply across domains — modeling, optimization, process flows, system integration, failure modes, and tradeoffs.

Areas I am actively sharpening and writing about

  • engineering fundamentals
  • modeling, simulation, and optimization
  • process flows and system behavior
  • manufacturing and integration constraints
  • failure modes and technical risk
  • IP strategy and licensing
  • data-driven decision support

Themes

AI systems and software

LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation, MCP-style tool interfaces, semantic matching, workflow automation, SaaS development, Supabase-backed data layers, API integrations, and technical prototyping.

IP, licensing, and commercialization

Technology transfer, licensing agreements, IP assessment, patent landscapes, freedom-to-operate analysis, commercialization strategy, and startup support inside federal lab and accelerator contexts.

Biotechnology and regulatory science

PBPK modeling, therapeutic protein and biologics evaluation, clinical pharmacology, regulatory pathways, and scientific decision support — including time at the FDA Office of Clinical Pharmacology.

Venture and deep-tech evaluation

Technology sourcing, due diligence, TRL assessment, market evaluation, accelerator support, and federal lab to startup commercialization pathways.

Engineering fundamentals and applied systems

Applied technical reasoning across models, constraints, process flows, system behavior, optimization, failure modes, and practical implementation. An ongoing area of sharpening and writing rather than a claim of expertise in any single engineering discipline.

What I can help with

  • Technical diligence on early-stage deep-tech
  • IP and licensing review for software and hardware
  • PBPK and biologics modeling questions
  • Translating research or lab IP into a commercialization path
  • Building small, focused internal AI tools
